Wonderful Route 810, Albemarle County,Virginia road trip

Within Albemarle County, Virginia, Route 810 (these pictures are of theBlackwells Hollow Rd part) rims the western edge of the county and bumps up against the Blue Ridge/Appalachian Mountain Range. As the photos show, the mountains are always nearby on this road. The church is Prize Church and cemetery (circa 1898).

Rural Virginia...Greene County

Greene County is the first county north of our county, Albemarle, as you travel north on US Route 29 or otherwise known as the 29th Infantry Highway. Above are pictures of a rural road, Parker Mountain Road, just off Celt Road, going from Albemarle into Greene County. The other pictures are obvious.

Virginia has a great incentive for keeping our roads free of litter. In volunteering to do so, you get you own road sign plus state tax rebates for doing this good deed.

These all are Garth Road in Albemarle County, Virginia. This empty long road made our Sunday afternoon drive on the way to Devil's Backbone Brewery in Nelson County so enjoyable. Car travel on side roads is the ticket to joy for my husband and I.
