Centennial World's Fair 1876 building January 2004 Philadelphia,Pennsylvania

Main Exhibition HallRow homes

We spent a cold January there in 2004 but were lucky to see the Exhibition Hall and archway left over from the famous Centennial World's Fair that took place in 1876. This was a grand celebration of our nation's 100th birthday. There wasn't anyone out and about, so it was cold, lonely roads we traveled on.

For more information and old pictures/drawings of the actual fairgrounds and architects go to  http://www.bc.edu/bc_org/avp/cas/fnart/fa267/1876fair.html
